Gold In A Pond

My Daughter’s First Car
On 6 August 2023, my daughter Suroshri became a proud owner of a car, a Tata Altroz. It was a historic moment for us all and I had a tough time trying to stay poised through the delivery ceremony. My husband Sukhangshu was out of town at that time, so he remained connected virtually.
It felt so wonderful to be a customer for a change. See the pic above and click on the link to see the video.
For over 2 decades, I worked in various car dealerships in Delhi NCR as a customer relations manager. I slogged hard through all these stints; organized delivery ceremonies of hundreds of new cars. Because of job insecurity and a constant need to scrimp and save all through this phase, purchasing a car with monthly EMIs going out against a bank loan was impractical. It felt more like one of those dreams that never materialize.
But God works in His own mysterious ways. On Janamashtami 2023, Lord Krishna’s birthday, He placed me on the other side of the fence. It was so unexpected. I felt privileged and immensely grateful to God for giving me so much joy and happiness.
May God bless Suroshri for making our dreams come true. We pray for her safety and well-being all through her journey in life. Amen!

Petar Markoski, a Macedonian musician, whom I discovered recently on Facebook, is now my latest music idol. See the pic below.
I can already imagine you raising your eyebrows while reading the word “latest.” Well, things change, we change, so our musical tastes can’t remain the same, can they?
Most of his videos have gorgeous backdrops, which only add grace and charm to his music, and the man himself is so strikingly handsome! What else can a social-media-smitten audience ever want?
